Sorting out what's ethical about adoption and the newer reproductive technologies? You've come to the right place.  It all unethical.

Embryo donation - embryo adoption game

The baby has lost her ancestors and the adopters pretend they don't exist...and that's only part of the problem with adopting an embryo or donating an embryo.

Sperm "donation" or egg "donation"

"Who's your daddy?" is not a question a person wants to wonder about - neither is "Who's your mommy?" or "Whose your sister?".

Surrogacy game

Similar to the "dear birthmother" game.  Somebody's gonna lose out and it won't be the adopters.  The baby will be traumatized losing the only mother she's ever known.  And the surrogate may be surprised to discover that the adopters didn't want HER - they just wanted a baby.

Inter-country adoption game

Already traumatized by the loss of family (or perhaps still having family that wants to care for her) a baby or child is transported to a completely new environment.  With people who pretend her family doesn't exist.

"Don't it always seem to go - that you don't know what you've got til it's gone?"
